LINES CHARGES TO PODIUM IN DRAMATIC OSTRICOURT OPENER

Ostricourt, France — Finlay Lines delivered a composed and determined performance in the opening round of the BNL Championship, overcoming setbacks and wheel-to-wheel drama to secure an impressive overall podium finish across two days of racing.

Saturday’s action began with promise as Lines laid down a strong qualifying effort, taking P3 despite running in turbulent air for much of the session. Carrying that pace into the heats, he claimed a commanding victory in one race and added a P3 in another, earning pole position for the all-important final.

From the front of the grid, Lines looked in control, leading confidently through more than half of the race. However, a moment of contact from behind mid-race disrupted his rhythm and dropped him down the order to P6. Refusing to yield, he mounted a determined recovery drive, slicing back through the field to finish a hard-fought P4 — a result that underlined both his pace and resilience.

Sunday brought fresh challenges, with a fog delay disrupting the early schedule and adding an extra layer of complexity to the day. Lines adapted quickly, navigating qualifying to place P5 in his group and P10 overall. What followed was a series of standout recovery drives: advancing from P7 to P2 in both of his heats, he re-established himself as a front-runner heading into the final.

Starting from P2 on the grid for the final, Lines delivered a measured and mature drive, maintaining position under pressure to secure P2 at the flag. The result capped a consistent weekend and earned him second overall for the round.

With Round 1 complete, Lines now sits P2 in the championship standings — a strong foundation as the series heads to Mariembourg for the next encounter.

Reflecting on the weekend, Lines acknowledged the collective effort behind the result, extending thanks to the KR-Sport team for their continued support throughout the event.

A statement opening round, and a clear signal that Finlay Lines will be a title contender in the races ahead.
