Finlay Lines takes top ten finish on Rotax Max Euro Trophy debut in Spain
Finlay made his European Karting debut this weekend as he competes for the first time in the ROTAX MAX Euro Trophy – Winter Cup, taking place at Circuito Karting Campillos in Spain.
Driving for Dan Holland Racing in the Rotax Mini Max class, Finlay is part of a field of 35 drivers, racing for honours across Saturday and Sunday.
The Staffordshire based driver rounded off his first-ever European karting event with a top-ten finish in the Mini Max class for the ROTAX MAX Euro Trophy – Winter Cup, at Circuito Karting Campillos in Spain.
The Dan Holland Racing driver started from eighth place on the Pre-Final grid thanks to his combined points score from his Heat race finishes on Saturday.
Finlay made a good start, making several places into the first corner and was running in fifth place at the end of the first lap.
Despite defending well, Finlay fell down the order and crossed the line in eighth place.
This put Finlay in eighth place on the grid for the Final, against 34 other drivers.
Finlay made another good start, running as high as seventh in the eleven-minute race, however, he would finish in ninth place in his first European Rotax event.
