Top five finish at Three Sisters keeps Finlays Ultimate Karting Championship title challenge on track

Finlay took part in round four of the 2023 Ultimate Karting Championship last weekend, where he scored a top-five finish in the SuperFinal.

This was the first time that Finlay drove at the Three Sisters circuit in Greater Manchester, where he was up against twenty other drivers across the event.

Having missed out on Friday’s testing due to academic commitments, The Dan Holland Racing driver worked hard during the three heats that took place over Saturday.

Finlay finished in fifth place in heat one after making up two places, before making up nine places in heat two to finish in eighth place. Finlay ended the day by finishing in third place in heat three.

The Maximum Motorsport driver started the SuperHeat on Sunday from sixth place on the grid, however, a technical issue with his kart, meant that Finlay retired from the race on lap three.

Starting from eighth place on the grid in the twelve-minute SuperFinal, Finlay moved up to sixth place on the opening lap, where he stayed in touch with the fight for third place during the rest of the SuperFinal.

The Dan Holland Racing driver finished in fifth place at the end of the SuperFinal, which also keeps him in fifth place in the points standings with two rounds left to go.

Finlay is supported each weekend by his mechanic Jamie Dzyra & Dan Holland Racing and sends his thanks to them for all their support and guidance.

Finlay also sends his thanks to Neil Riddiford at IZone Driver Performance for all of his mentoring with Finlay in between events.
