FASTR WMKC Round 8 Podium keeps Finlay in championship lead

Finlay endured a difficult event in the penultimate round of the 2023 FastR WMKC Championship at Whilton Mill last weekend but managed to keep his points lead intact after a fantastic drive in the Final.

After setting the sixth-fastest time in Qualifying, against 33 other drivers taking part in the event, the Factory ZipKart driver had a difficult first heat race.

Finlay was penalised twice in Heat One, leaving him to finish in seventeenth place in the results.

In Heat Two, the Maximum Motorsport driver pushed hard and managed to take a top-five finish. Both finishes meant that Finlay would start in tenth place for the Final.

Finlay proved his skill in the Final as he made his way forward, making up eight places and finishing in second place at the end of the Final.

Finlay is very grateful for all the hard work over the weekend and sends his thanks to his mechanic for the weekend, Jemal Kordal and driver coach for the weekend Connor Duncan.

He also sends his thanks to Team Manager James Bean, Luke Hines and the Zipkart team for all their hard work over the weekend.

In between events, Finlay has been supported and coached by Neil Riddiford at IZone Driver Performance. Finlay is very grateful to Neil for all his support.
