Lines leads the way at PFI British Kart Championships weekend
Finlay Lines enjoyed a fantastic weekend at PFI in the British Kart Championships, showing incredible pace from the outset. With 56 entered drivers in the Junior Rotax Class, it was never going to be an easy weekend.
The weekend started perfectly as Finlay secured Overall Pole Position in qualifying with a phenomenal lap. He then continued his dominant form throughout the heats, taking victory in every heat race as well as the Super Heat, securing pole position for the Final.
In the Final, Finlay and his front-row rival quickly broke away from the rest of the field and put on an exciting battle for the lead, trading positions throughout the race. Finlay took regained the race lead with a lap and half to go, but whilst on the final lap, contact was made and he dropped back to P3, he fought back immediately to reclaim a place and cross the line in P2.
While the win narrowly escaped him, it was an outstanding weekend overall, with pole position, claiming the event record, a clean sweep of heat race victories, a Super Heat win, and a huge haul of championship points.
We now look ahead to the next round with plenty of momentum and confidence.
