Lines Takes on Europe’s Finest with Standout Le Mans Performance

Finlay Lines produced another standout performance on the international stage as he competed in the prestigious Rotax Max Challenge International Trophy at Le Mans, France, taking on one of the strongest Junior Max fields of the season.

With 83 of the world’s best Rotax Junior drivers assembled from across the globe, Lines immediately established himself as the benchmark. A superb lap in qualifying secured overall pole position, underlining the pace he had shown throughout the week and putting the KR Sport driver in the ideal position heading into the all-important heat races.

Over the following two days, Lines consistently ran at the sharp end of the field, winning each of the four heats in competed in.  Delivering a series of impressive performances to remain among the championship favourites. His consistency across the heats earned him a front-row starting position for Saturday’s Super Heat.

When it mattered most, Lines converted that opportunity into victory, producing a measured and controlled drive to win Super Heat A and secure pole position for the Grand Final.

Starting from the front of the grid, Lines made a perfect getaway and controlled the opening stages of the Final, leading the highly competitive field during the first half of the race. As the battle intensified, a number of challengers closed in, creating an intense multi-kart fight for victory that went right down to the closing laps.

Despite coming under relentless pressure from behind, Lines continued to battle hard amongst the leading group before eventually crossing the line in fifth place, rounding off an outstanding week of competition against some of the very best Junior Rotax drivers in the world.

While the final result didn’t quite reflect the pace shown throughout the event, there were plenty of positives to take away. Pole position, a Super Heat victory and laps led in the Grand Final demonstrated that Lines had the speed to challenge for the biggest prizes all week long.

The performance marks another significant step in what has already been an impressive 2026 campaign, further cementing Finlay Lines’ reputation as one of Britain’s leading young karting talents on the international stage.
