Finlay takes second Whilton Mill podium of the season

Finlay enjoyed his return to Whilton Mill Kart Club at the end of May, after scoring his second podium of the season at the Northamptonshire venue, in round five of the FastR WMKC Championship.

The Synergy Racing Developments driver started in 19th place for the heat one grid, where he got to work and made his way through the field, to finish in fifth place.

Having not been drawn for heat two, Finlay started heat three in 11th place and once more showed his racing skill as made up four places during the race, claiming seventh place at the end of the heat.

The Maximum Motorsport ace showed his pace was no fluke, starting heat four in 11th place and this time, making up six places off the grid to come home in fifth place, for the second time that day.

His efforts from the heat races would see Finlay line up in fourth place on the grid for the Final, going on to claim third place at the checkered flag and with it, his second podium of the season at the Northamptonshire venue.

Thanks to his performance in round five of the championship, Finlay lies in third place in the drivers’ standings, with the results of round four still pending confirmation.

Finlay sends his thanks to the team, for all their hard work over the weekend, especially to Matt Davis, his mechanic and Neil Riddiford, Finlay’s driver coach at IZone Driver Performance.
