Finlay scores podium finish on Factory ZipKart debut

Finlay Lines started his new era as a Factory Zipkart driver in style after taking a podium finish on his debut for the team last weekend at Kimbolton.

Having made the decision to move to the Factory Zipkart team mid-season, ahead of round six of the Hunts Kart Racing Club championship, Finlay faced new challenges as he got to grips with working in a new team and with a new teammate in the guise of Rocco Shenton.

The Maximum Motorsport ace soon got up to speed by setting the second quickest time in Free Practice, as he dialled in the kart to his liking, at a circuit where he has gained plenty of experience from previous events this year.

Finlay set the second-fastest time in Free Practice, before continuing his new form with second place in heat one. In heat two, he started second on the grid once more and went on to claim second place at the flag.

With his efforts in the first two heats putting Finlay on the front row for the final, the Hinesracinglife driver lost several places during the race, before progressing forward to take second place behind teammate Shenton and a great podium finish on his debut.
