Finlay Lines: 2024 IAME Waterswift British Kart Championship Vice Champion

Finlay Lines further added to his impressive karting CV, after finishing runner-up in the 2024 Wera Tools British Kart Championships IAME Waterswift class.

Lines hit the ground running in the opening two rounds at Trent Valley Kart Club (TVKC), taking two top-five finishes despite being the sole Synergy Kart driver in the field for the entire season.

At Whilton Mill Kart Club, Lines brilliantly took his first British Karting Championship win in the IAME class after a last-lap, last-corner pass. The Synergy driver didn’t stop there, as he went on to take second place in the fourth round.

Lines continued his run of success, taking the win in the final of the prestigious Shenington Super Prix. As the reigning IAME E Plate champion, Lines added to his impressive tally of Open championship plates he has won this year.

Shenington Kart Racing Club – SKRC provided further triumph as Lines took his second win of the season in round five. Despite mechanical issues intervening in round six, Lines’ form so far kept him in the title chase.

The Motorsport UK Kartmasters British Kart Grand Prix is the highlight of the karting season and Lines rose to the challenge. A top-seven finish was his reward after impressing his rivals with front running pace during the weekend.

Going into the final round of the season at Three Sisters Circuit with a chance at the title, Lines didn’t go down without a fight, ultimately having to settle for the runner-up spot in the end-of-season standings.

Congratulations to Will Green for clinching the title this year, a fantastic achievement and a very deserving champion.

Also, a huge shoutout to Jarlath Sayer, who finished in third place in the championship, congratulations on a job well done.

Mike Spencer Motorsport: As a one-kart team, we took on the best in the British Championship and showed them what we could do. Thank you for helping me achieve the runner-up spot.

Thank you to Gary Rolfe and KKC Kart Components for all your support this year, it’s great to show what the Synergy Direct Envy chassis can achieve in the British championships.

Finlay sends his thanks to the various mechanics who have joined them on his journey: Max Herbert, Alfie Cockerell & Kai Rogers.

Finlay would like to thank Berkshire Turbo, Maximum Networks Group, IZone Driver Performance & KKC Kart Components for supporting him during the 2024 season.
