Lines takes HKRC Round Two win following post-race penalties

Lines was promoted to victory in round two of the 2024 Hunts Kart Racing Club Championship, following post-race penalties being applied.

The grid for each race is set through a random allocation system in the HKRC championship, with Lines being allocated 24th position for heat one.

Competing against thirty other drivers in the MiniMax 950 class across the weekend, an engine issue led to an early retirement for the Synergy driver.

Starting heat two from fourth position, Lines used the final corner to good effect, taking the lead of the second heat with four minutes left to go.

Despite a late pass for the lead from his teammate, Lines retook the lead on the final lap and took the heat race win.

The Synergy driver started the Final from 14th place on the grid and was on the charge as he made up ten places early on.

Running in second place on the final lap, Lines made a late overtake bid at the final corner, crossing the finish line just three-hundredths of a second behind the on-track winner.

Lines was later promoted to the win after post-race penalties were applied.

Following his second win of the championship, we send our thanks to team bosses Rob Hanscomb & Mike Spencer and everyone at Synergy Direct for the hard work they put in over the weekend.

Lines’ mechanic Macaulay Austin worked hard with the young Synergy driver during the event and we thank him for all his efforts.

KR Racing Engines once again played their part in Lines’ front running performance, and we pass on our appreciation to everyone in the team.

We send our grateful thanks to Neil Riddiford at IZone Driver Performance for all his support in between events, with Lines improving with each event.
