Top Ten finish for Lines against the world’s best in 2025 IAME Warriors Final
Finlay Lines took on the world’s best karting drivers at this year’s IAME Warriors Final in Valencia, showcasing his excellent talent and coming away with a well-earned top ten finish.
The IWF is a karting event that brings together top-tier karting drivers from worldwide IAME Series and events to compete together in a massive end-of-season competition.
108 drivers from around the globe took part in the X30 Mini class, with sessions taking place across six days, including Practice, Qualifying heats, Super heats, and the all-important Final to determine who the 2025 champion would be.
The recently crowned Tillotson T4 Nations Cup champion worked hard in mixed conditions during qualifying, going 18th fastest in his group, with work to do in the heat races.
With six heat races to determine who would make it through to the Super heats, Finlay made great progress, starting five of the heats from P15 and one heat from P16.
Showing the fantastic talent he is known for, Finlay took a highest finishing position of fourth in two heats and never finished outside of the top eight across the other four.
Making up 66 places across the six heat races and being classified in P13 overall, this put Lines into Super Heat A, where he would start from seventh place on the grid.
More forward momentum was the result as the British driver made up for a slow start by making up two places to finish in fifth position and guarantee his place in the final on Saturday.
Starting in eleventh place out of the 36 drivers who had made it to the final, Finlay was up against the world’s best, having shown great racecraft and impressive speed, which he used to significant effect.
Pushed out at the start, Lines got into his stride and worked forward, fighting hard to take a well-earned ninth-place finish, out of the 108 drivers competing across the six days.
It wasn’t the result that he hoped for, however, Finlay showed his fighting spirit and never-say-die attitude, always giving his best and looking to finish the event on a high note in what was his last X30 event of the 2025 season.
