Lines Continues Championship Charge with Productive Double Header at Rowrah

Finlay Lines enjoyed another highly successful weekend in the IAME British Kart Championship as the series headed to Rowrah for rounds six and seven, collecting another impressive haul of championship points with a podium on Saturday before battling back strongly on Sunday.

The weekend began in ideal fashion on Saturday as Lines immediately demonstrated the pace that has made him one of the championship’s leading contenders throughout the season. Qualifying third fastest, he placed himself firmly in the fight at the front of the ultra-competitive Junior X30 field.

Two mature and measured drives followed in the heat races. Finlay converted his qualifying performance into third place in Heat One before improving further in Heat Two, crossing the line in second to strengthen his starting position for the day’s final.

Starting amongst the championship’s front runners, Lines produced another composed performance in the Final. Managing the race intelligently while maintaining excellent pace throughout, he secured a well-earned second-place finish to complete a consistently strong Saturday and bank another valuable collection of championship points.

With a podium finish and no unnecessary risks, it proved to be exactly the type of performance needed during a long championship campaign.

Sunday’s seventh round presented a sterner challenge from the outset. Qualifying seventh meant there was more work to do against another closely matched field, and despite showing competitive speed throughout the heats, Finlay finished eighth and tenth respectively, leaving him with plenty to do in the Final.

Refusing to let the earlier results define his day, Finlay delivered one of his strongest drives of the weekend when it mattered most. Making decisive overtakes while carefully managing the intense wheel-to-wheel racing that Rowrah is renowned for, he steadily worked his way through the field.

Displaying both speed and racecraft, Lines climbed to fourth place by the chequered flag, narrowly missing out on another podium but salvaging an excellent result from a difficult starting position.

The productive recovery ensured another healthy points return and demonstrated the resilience that has become a hallmark of Finlay’s performances this season.

Reflecting on the weekend as a whole, Rowrah delivered another positive step in Finlay’s championship campaign. Saturday’s podium showcased his outright pace at the front of the field, while Sunday’s determined comeback underlined his ability to maximise every opportunity, even when circumstances are less favourable.

With another double-header completed and more valuable points added to his championship tally, Finlay leaves Rowrah firmly in contention as attention now turns to the next rounds of the IAME British Kart Championship.
