Pole position, Podium and Event Record for Lines at PF International

Round three of the 2025 Trent Valley Kart Club Championship provided a return to form as Finlay Lines went home with a podium finish in his pocket.

The Argenti Motorsport Academy driver topped qualifying at PF International, going fastest out of the 41 other drivers and putting him on pole position for both heats.

In the first heat, Finlay held second place comfortably and stayed in touch with the leader. Battling on in the late stages of the heat, Lines finished in fifth place and set the event record in the process.

Lines kept his head in his second heat as he shadowed the early race leader. Not to be denied when the chance arose, Finlay moved to the front and held the lead for two laps before finishing in second place.

Finlay would start the Final from fourth place, against the other 35 drivers who made the cut.

Running in second place by lap two of the Final, Lines fell back to fifth by lap five. Knowing he had the pace for at least a podium finish, Finlay dug deep and fought back in style.

The Argenti Motorsport Academy driver brilliantly made up three places on lap six by going round the outside of the first hairpin, putting him back into second place.

Despite briefly falling to third position on the penultimate lap, Finlay made the all-important pass and crossed the finish line to take a magnificent second-place finish and a long overdue return to the podium.

Finlay thanks Ben Platten, the team at BMR Karting, and S Sport Engines for providing him with a front-running package all weekend, giving him the tools to show what he is capable of.

Finlay also thanks Ethan Marr, who was his spanner man for the weekend at PFi.

Finally, Finlay sends his congratulations to the winner of the Junior X30 final, Henry Carter.
