Lines takes victory in PF Challenge Cup to win PF Plate

Lines put on another masterful display this weekend, as he took victory in the final of the PF Challenge Cup at Trent Valley Kart Club (TVKC), winning the PF Karting Plate in the process.

The Synergy Kart driver was up against thirty-one other drivers in the MiniMax 950 class at the Lincolnshire venue, where he set the second-fastest time in Qualifying.

Starting from second on the grid for the first heat of the day on Sunday, Lines moved forward and took the win in heat one.

In heat two, the Maximum Motorsport driver started from the front row again.

Being pushed from behind by another competitor, the Synergy Kart driver was given an in-race five-second penalty for a jump start.

After winning heat two on the track, Lines was officially classified in sixth place once the in race penalty was applied.

Thanks to the points he scored from the two heat races, this left Lines in third place in the Intermediate Classification, meaning that he would start the final from third place on the grid.

After falling to fifth place in the opening few corners, the Staffordshire-based driver was quickly at the front of the trailing pack, with the focus on hunting down the lead two drivers.

By the end of lap three, Lines caught the leading pack and the three drivers were involved battled until the checkered flag, with Lines taking the win and also setting the fastest race lap of the event with a time of 1:01.72.

This is Lines’ fifth win of the year and he looks forward to continuing a winning streak at Kimbolton next weekend.
