Podium for Finlay Lines in the final round of the RMC Championship Slovakia

Finlay Lines was invited to race at the Slovakia Ring for the final round of the RMC Championship Slovakia at the weekend, giving him the opportunity to compete at a new venue.

Despite it being his first visit to the circuit, Finlay worked hard in each of the test sessions that took place, going quicker in each session, as he learned more about the track.

After testing was complete, Finlay put the knowledge he gained from each session to good use as he went out in the qualifying simulation session. His efforts meant that he went fastest in the session, putting a gap of two tenths of a second ahead of the rest of the field.

Finlay pushed hard in qualifying, which was used to set the grid for the first heat race. His hard work paid off as he secured sixth place on the grid.

The total points scored from his sixth-place finish in heat one and fifth-place finish in the second heat meant Finlay would line up in fifth place on the grid for the final.

Making a great start, Finlay was up to third position as they reached turn two on the opening lap. As the 14-lap final went on, Finlay used his experience and racecraft to stay in the top three before successfully making the move for second place on lap six.

Finlay finished the race in second place, completing what was a one-two finish for the team and ending the weekend standing on the podium after his first visit to the circuit.
