Lines stays in British Kart Championships hunt with strong weekend at Larkhall

Finlay Lines moved up the points standings after a strong points scoring weekend in the second round of the Wera Tools British Kart Championships at Larkhall Circuit in Scotland.

Up against 30 other drivers in the Mini Max 950 class, Lines went fourth fastest in Qualifying, ahead of the two heats on Saturday.

The Synergy Kart driver moved to the front in both heat races, winning heat one and then heat two to take a clean sweep on Saturday.

Lines started from pole position in the Pre-Final.

Taking the early lead, he stayed out front until he was beaten to the win, finishing in second place by less than two one-hundredths of a second.

Starting the final from the front row, the Maximum Motorsport driver fell back to tenth place at the first few corners, before working his way back up the order.

The Synergy Direct driver finished the Final in fourth place and in the process, outscoring his rivals and moving up from fifth place to second place in the points standings.
