Lines rescues a top seven finish in the Ice Breaker Cup

Finlay Lines took a top-seven finish in his first event of 2025, fighting back after questionable on track tactics and also battling the poor conditions of a winter weekend.

During the drier conditions in free practice on Saturday, the Synergy Factory driver showed front running pace in two out of the four sessions that took place.

Setting the seventh fastest time in qualifying, Lines put himself in a good place to fight forward within the 25-strong entry.

Lines stayed within the top ten in the opening laps of the twelve-minute Pre-Final. Despite falling back to thirteenth place on lap five due to a lack of grip, Finlay fought back to finish in tenth place.

Lines started from tenth place in the Final and stayed within the top ten for the opening laps.

Contact from behind on lap four dropped him to eleventh place and from there, Finlay fought his way forward. Claiming a seventh-place result was small reward for the hard work that the Synergy driver put in during the event.

Finlay wants to thank his mechanic Jem Kordal, who worked hard during the event to support the young driver. Finlay also sends his thanks to Mike Spencer for his support across the weekend.
