Harrison Folley switches from Rallycross to the 2026 Audi Cup
Rising star Harrison Folley will make his debut in the Audi Cup this year, as part of the Family-run Folley Motorsport squad.
While this will be his first season in circuit racing, Harrison already has a background in Rallycross, where he has competed in the Motorsport UK Junior Rallycross Championship for the last two years.
Driving a Suzuki Swift, the Berkshire-based driver also holds the honour of winning the final round of the 2025 Lydden Hill Rally Sprint in the Junior Class, having improved throughout the event to claim victory in the final race of the day.
Looking ahead to 2026, the switch to circuit racing full-time has been made, with Harrison and his dad, Henry, working hard to make sure that the lad and dad outfit is ready to take on this new challenge.
Having gotten used to racing the 1.3-litre-engined Suzuki, the eighteen-year-old now transitions to driving the 2.0-litre sports car. The only similarity is that both cars are Front Wheel Drive, something that Harrison has plenty of experience with.
“I’m so happy to confirm that I will be racing in the Audio Cup in 2026, providing a new era, a new car and a new package for Folley Motorsports to compete in. The last two years in Rallycross have provided me with some exciting racing and great memories, and I look forward to making more in this new series,” said Harrison.
“I’ll be getting some seat time in before the opening round at Brands Hatch over the Easter weekend, but I’m fully aware that I’m dealing with a different car in a different series. Working alongside my father, we’re looking forward to racing on such an exciting racing package. For us, 2026 is a learning year, but we’ll be giving 110% all the way.”
Championship Manager Jack Finlan is delighted to see Harrison confirm his Audi Cup entry, as the youngster prepares to switch racing disciplines.
“It’s great to see Harrison announce his entry in the Audi Cup. Having enjoyed success in Rallycross previously, I’m certain that he will find his way quickly in the series and will enjoy the racing across each of the six events this year, as we prepare for the new season,” explained Jack.
“Providing an affordable and exciting racing option for drivers from any racing background, who are working their way up the motorsport ladder in the UK, the Audi Cup offers the opportunity to go racing in front of large crowds and exciting events across the country.”
