TCR Licencing agreement reached between Britcar Endurance Ltd, WSC Group & Maximum Motorsport for 2025 Britcar Endurance Championship

TCR Licencing agreement reached between Britcar Endurance Ltd, WSC Group & Maximum Motorsport for 2025 Britcar Endurance Championship

Maximum Motorsport can confirm today that Britcar Endurance Limited and WSC Group, the rights holder for TCR worldwide, have reached an agreement, with the approval and support of the UK Rights holder Maximum Motorsport, regarding the authorised entry of TCR cars in 2025.

This new agreement, with Britcar Endurance Limited using a full WSC issued TCR licence, means that all homologated TCR cars are now eligible to compete in the 2025 Britcar Endurance Championship.

This enables the championship to run a TCR Endurance class within its ranks this year, using the agreed ruleset and Balance of Performance set by WSC for TCR competitors around the world. This will allow for balanced and competitive racing within the class.

All cars will be scrutineered to the exacting standards set out by WSC in their Technical Regulations using experienced Motorsport UK Licensed Scrutineers and Data Analysers.

TCR UK Championship Promoter Stewart Lines commented on the new agreement.

“Today, we see an increase in the number of championships where UK based TCR cars are eligible to race. The announcement of the new licence agreement with Britcar Endurance Limited means that there are now four authorised championships available to TCR owners to compete in,” said Stewart.

“Our aim is to work with all parties who own TCR cars to give them a legal platform to operate in and be a part of the TCR family moving forward. The new agreement announced today with Britcar brings us closer to achieving this important goal.”

Claire Hedley, Managing Director of Britcar Endurance Limited also commented on the new agreement.

“It’s been a long process of discussions with Motorsport UK, WSC and Maximum Motorsport to get here but we are finally in a position where we have a fully licensed class for TCR competitors to race their cars without a fear of losing their homologation,” said Claire.

“We’ve had a long tradition of Touring Cars taking part in Britcar races over the years and to see the success globally of the TCR brand over the last decade gives us confidence that we can entice as many owners of TCR cars out of their workshops and into one of the best grids on the UK racing scene.”
