Stewart Lines to compete in TCR 500 at Spa with AC Motorsport
Stewart Lines will enter the TCR 500 at Spa Francorchamps this weekend with AC Motorsport in their Audi RS3 LMS DSG along with Stephane Perrin and Semi Pro drivers, Vincent Radermecker and Mathieu Detry.
The event is being organised by WSC and Creventic, the Dutch organisation that runs the 24H Series that includes the Dubai 24 Hours and Barcelona 24 Hours and will be run exclusively for TCR machinery.
The race takes place between October 4-6, between the Ningbo and Suzuka rounds of the 2019 WTCR season, and will be run over a distance of 500 laps, or 3502km (2176 miles).
A former BTCC driver, Stewart Lines has been competing in TCR UK the past two seasons and is looking forward to expanding his racing into Europe.
Stewart said: “We’re planning to start racing in TCR Europe next year with our own team, Maximum Motorsport so this is a great opportunity to try it out with AC Motorsport. I’m really looking forward to racing the Audi on this amazing circuit and hope we get some good results over the weekend.”
