Championships Update
In these ‘different’ times we are all trying to get back to normality as quickly as possible and as far as our championship and motorsport activity is concerned, we are working hard behind the scenes to make sure we can hit the tracks running as soon as the restrictions are lifted.
Because things appear to be changing on a daily basis, all we can do is provide you with the situation as it stands at the time which, following a bulletin issued by Motorsport UK on Wednesday 17th March, is as follows:
In light of the outbreak of Covid-19, all organising permits and Certificates of Exemption are suspended until at least 30th April 2020.
As far as our championships are concerned, this affects the first event that was scheduled for 17th & 18th April at Silverstone. Consequently – and providing no further restrictions are applied – our opening round will now take place on 6th & 7th June at Croft Circuit.
We sincerely hope that for all concerned, this extended seven-week lead-time will enable the situation surrounding Coronavirus to be brought under control and we can get back on track with normality restored.
We will now look at a revised date for the Silverstone round and will advise competitors, sponsors and supporters of our future arrangements and plans as soon as possible.
Please rest assured that any lost rounds will either be rescheduled (track availability permitting), or entry fees will be adjusted accordingly. Therefore, we trust that with this reassurance, teams and drivers can continue to enter our championships with confidence.
In the meantime, stay safe!
