TIM DOCKER ENTERS TOURING CAR TROPHY FOR 2019 WITH MAXIMUM MOTORSPORT

Tim Docker who has been racing in the VW Cup and Britcar this season has become another driver to sign up to what will be an exciting race series for 2019, the all-new Touring Car Trophy.

Docker began his racing career in 2016, joining the Vag Trophy and moved into the VW Cup soon after. For 2018, Docker entered his VW Cup car into Britcar in a VW Scirocco for the first four rounds and picked up first in class for every race. Docker soon decided he wanted a bigger challenge and decided to buy a TCR Spec VW Golf GTI from BTCC team Motorbase. From round five of Britcar, Docker raced in the Golf which would be run by Maximum Motorsport for the remainder season in Class 4 of Britcar, Docker had some impressive results including a 1st in Class.

For 2019 Docker will enter his Golf GTI into the TCT with the help of Maximum Motorsport and is looking for some great results.

“I’ve always run with Maximum Motorsport and when I heard about this new series and wanted to get involved and help get the series off the ground. I know that team dynamics is going to run Henry Neal in the BTCC Honda Civic and I’m hoping for some other great drivers to compete against.”

It’s great that Tim in his Maximum Motorsport-run golf TCR car will be racing in TCT in 2019. He has improved as a driver in 2018 and it will be interesting to see how he performs against some stiff opposition.
