Audi Cup heads to Oulton Park for 2026 Season Finale

Audi Cup heads to Oulton Park for 2026 Season Finale

The Audi Cup reaches the final round of its inaugural non-championship season this weekend (Saturday 3 October) at Oulton Park.

The picturesque Cheshire parkland circuit hosts the 10th and 11th rounds of Maximum Motorsport’s latest one-make series. Following a similar format to the ultra-successful Civic Cup sister category, Audi Cup adopts a one-make formula for identical two-litre Audi TTs. Tight regulations keep costs in check and ensure a level playing field for all. Appearing alongside Civic Cup and the high-profile TCR UK Touring Championship in front of large crowds and with a professional livestream and media package further adds to competitors’ value for money.

It’s a proven recipe for close, fair racing, as demonstrated numerous times this season, even without points on the line, ahead of a proposed move to full championship status in 2027.

Four different drivers have won races this year and three of them will be in action this weekend. Andrew Rogerson leads the way, with four wins across the past three race weekends at Pembrey, Snetterton and Donington Park. The Berkshire racer will aim to end the year on a high in his First Choice Maintenance with AS Metal Recycling & Skip Hire-backed car and mark himself out as the man to beat in 2027.

Scotsman Ross Makar scored a hat-trick at the Thruxton season opener but, perhaps surprisingly, has yet to take the chequered flag first since then. The experienced 4G Racing driver was missing his edge last time out at Donington and will be looking to put that right this weekend.

Running from the same 4G stable, D&M Plant Hire-backed Sam Meagher was thrilled to earn a maiden win at Pembrey in June. A second success can’t be far away for the Oxfordshire man.

With this year’s fourth race winner, Carl Swift, absent through personal commitments, will another driver be able to break into the winners’ circle this weekend? Closest so far have been Iain Dowler (NRH Motors) and Patrick Booth (4G Racing), who each have a couple of podium finishes to their names. Mike Harris, meanwhile, will be chasing a maiden podium finish.

Two new drivers join the field this weekend, graduating from the City Car Cup. Andrew Dyer and Alex Foden are both frontrunners in the entry-level category and should be quickly on the pace in more powerful machinery having previously raced at a higher level.

Dyer in particular could be one to watch; the Welshman is a multiple race winner in Audi TTs in the past and could be a real threat to the main players ahead of a full campaign next year.

Saturday’s competitive action begins with Qualifying at 11:50hrs. The first race of the day follows at 15:00hrs before the season finale is scheduled to get under way at 17:25hrs. As ever, full live coverage is available on the BARC YouTube channel.

As always at Audi Cup race meetings, there is a packed programme of racing that also features touring car action from TCR UK and the ultra-competitive Civic Cup.

Enjoy the action from trackside if you can, or alternatively, sit back and enjoy the livestream from the comfort of your sofa: all the racing action will be livestreamed, together with expert commentary, analysis and interviews, on the BARC’s YouTube channel.
