The VAG Trophy to relaunch for the 2026 season
The VAG Trophy will relaunch in 2026, to be managed by Maximum Motorsport.
We are gauging interest in the relaunch of this series next year and its place within an exciting support package by reaching out to our current customer base.
All models from the Volkswagen Audi Group that use a 2-litre turbocharged engine are eligible, with their performance being balanced using a power-to-weight ratio formula.
Eligible cars for the 2026 VAG Trophy:
Audi RS3, Audi TT, CUPRA R300, SEAT Supercopa, Skoda VRS, Volkswagen Golf, Volkswagen Scirocco.
A strict set of regulations will provide an affordable platform for teams and drivers to enjoy fair and close racing on a small budget.
The series will be a new opportunity within club-level racing, where drivers and teams can showcase their talents in front of large crowds.
The VAG Trophy will be running at the same events as the following championships in 2026:
- The TCR UK Touring Car Championship
- The Milltek Civic Cup
- The British Truck Racing Championship
Motorsport events featuring these exciting championships already witness competitors racing in front of crowds at the UK’s best motorsport circuits, which attract tens of thousands of spectators each weekend.
The VAG Trophy will be livestreamed on the TCR UK YouTube channel and BARC YouTube Channel, offering an audience of over 50,000+ viewers each weekend, something that is rare in the UK Club racing scene.
