Sam Meagher announces 2026 Audi Cup entry
Sam Meagher will join the 2026 Audi Cup, announcing his entry into the brand-new series, where he will drive for 4G Racing.
Beginning his Motorsport journey in 2022, Sam made his debut in the 190 Class of the MG Trophy. In 2023, he finished the season in third place overall in the drivers’ championship, having topped the podium during the year.
2024 was a learning experience for the Oxfordshire-based driver as he joined the Audi TT championship. Having gotten to grips with the high-performance sports car in 2025, Meagher improved last season, finishing 4th overall.
Electing to join the Audi Cup for 2026, Sam is already working on a testing programme ahead of the season opener, which will take place at Brands Hatch over the Easter weekend, providing him with important seat time as he enters his third season with the car.
With backing from the family business, which operates in Plant Hire and Haulage, Sam is excited to be a part of this new series and eager to go racing once more.
“After what seems like a long offseason, I’m happy to confirm my entry in the Audi Cup this year. With experience of racing the car previously, the opportunity to race on the same package as TCR UK, the Civic Cup and the British Racing Truck Championship was too good to turn down,” explained Sam.
“I’m working on getting some seat time in before the start of the season, which will help me prepare for the new challenge ahead. I’m keeping my expectations clear: I want to be in the mix at every round, aiming to end the year by taking some podium finishes.
Championship Manager Jack Finlan welcomes Sam Abord as the latest driver to join the Audi Cup grid.
“I’m very happy to see Sam confirm his entry in the Audi Cup, as the series continues to gain momentum as we close in on the start of the season. Having already had time in the car, I look forward to seeing how Sam does in the series first year,” explained Jack.
“Following a lot of hard work over the winter, we are now seeing drivers take an interest and sign up ahead of the start of the six-weekend calendar. As part of the racing package it’s on, the Audi Cup offers a new, affordable and competitive way for drivers to go racing.”
